About the Presenters
Jay Soroka is the Senior Vice President at Brown & Brown Insurance. He previously worked for Servco Pacific and Wells Fargo Insurance, where he specialized in professional liability insurance for lawyers, architects and engineers. At Brown & Brown, Jay is leading the professional liability insurance practice. He has over 30 years of experience in the industry and his services include insurance placement, contract reviews, claims assistance, and in-house seminars. His clients are engaged in local, national, and international projects. Jay graduated from Hobart College with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government. He went on to obtain his Juris Doctorate from the University of Puget Sound. Jay is a member of the Washington State Bar and holds a CPCU designation.
Chris Brumfield is the Professional Liability Vice President at Brown & Brown Insurance. He previously worked for Servco Pacific and Guy Carpenter Reinsurance, where he specialized in excess loss treaties, contract review and large loss claims and accounting. He has over 12 years of experience in the industry and his services include insurance placement, contract reviews, claims assistance, and in-house seminars. He also brings over 8 years experience as an owner/operator of a general contracting business working in the construction industry. Chris graduated with a BA from the University of Washington. He is active on several non-profit boards including as the immediate past president of the PNW CPCU Chapter. Chris holds multiple professional designations including his CPCU.
