Professional engineers take their responsibility seriously-- not just for the quality of the jobs they work on, but for the safety and well-being of the public at large. As members of the profession, engineers are expected to exhibit the highest standards of honest and integrity. In this latest installment of the Business Practice Breakfast Series, we'll talk about the Code of Ethics for Engineers and some situations that raise ethical questions common in engineering practice and study. We'll review some case studies, plus, come with your situations and questions for discussion!

About Our Speaker

Ken McGowan, P.E, F.NSPE is a fellow of the National Society of Professional Engineers. He is a former chair of NSPE and currently chairs The Order of the Engineers, where he has been a Board member since 2003. Ken was president of McGowan Broz Engineers from 1994 through 2007. He currently serves as the lead electrical engineer for HDR. He is a past president of the Washington Society of Professional Engineers, past Chair of the Electric League of the Pacific Northwest, past chair of Architects and Engineers Legislative Council, and President of the Puget Sound Engineering Council.
