The Washington State Department of Transportation SR-99 tunnel under the city of Seattle is one of the region’s most high profile projects.  The tunnel, constructed using the largest diameter boring equipment in the world, presented unique design and construction challenges, and ultimately, substantial litigation.  Attorney Terence Scanlan represents one of the parties involved and he will share a description of the project from inception through the current litigation, and what lessons engineering firms can learn from the case. Come prepared for an interesting dive into a high-profile case, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions.
