Event Description:
Join us for a Small Firm Roundtable. As part of our ACEC Small Business Initiative, this roundtable will provide a discussion forum and ideas exchange on matters related to the management of small engineering firms. We'll discuss the challenges unique to small firms, including topics like financial management, business development, firm growth, leadership, and more. Plus, we want to hear from our small firms what ACEC Washington can do for you.

At this month's discussion we'll be joined by several guests to discuss Small Business Banking. Finances and cashflow are critical to any business. When you are a small business, they matter even more. Cashflow is the life blood of a company and the need for operating lines of credit to fund operations, cover A/R float and fund growth capital are vital to the success of a company. It is harder for small businesses to secure credit facilities, but not impossible if you know how to present yourself and show that you know how to manage your business. We are pleased to welcome Matt Abtahi from Washington Trust and Ryan Hamilton of Boeing Employees Credit Union (BECU). They will share insights as to how a business should be tracking and presenting their financials when applying for and after receiving an operating credit facility. They will share valuable information in how you can create the best and strongest relationship with your banker so that they become a true partner in building the success of your business.
