Event Description:
Build business by solving programs—not selling.

From navigating differences in the way millennials and experienced professionals network to being uncomfortable “selling,” technical professionals often find marketing and business development challenging.

At The Marketing Engineer half-day program, you’ll learn proven, specific techniques and strategies that A/E/C technical professionals can use to develop business for their firms and go from being doers to seller-doers. Now in its 11th year and updated with new information for 2016, the program includes:

•    How millennials and professionals with less experience can connect with more seasoned colleagues (and vice versa).
•    How to have conversations about potential work when no specific project has been identified.
•    What to say and do when face-to-face with a potential client.
•    How to stay positive and effective when others don’t respond.
•    How to coach others to develop business.
•    What social media can and can’t do for business development.
•    What the Johnston Training Group (JTG) surveys of selection panel members revealed about effective business development activity before and after interviews.

The Marketing Engineer program is interactive, with useful handouts and ideas to implement immediately. During the session, you will have the opportunity to practice the techniques and develop your own realistic plan for developing business.

More than 500 A/E/C professionals have attended The Marketing Engineer program in the past 11 years, generating hundreds of thousands of dollars for their firms and advancing their careers. Register for the October 5 program today and go from being a doer to being a seller-doer!
